Questions

What is LensLink Bridge?

LensLink Bridge is an optional companion app for your computer. It is in development and has not been released yet. It is designed to receive your phone's video over a USB cable and hand it to OBS or Streamlabs. LensLink itself keeps working without it.

Is Bridge included with LensLink Pro?

Yes. Bridge is a LensLink Pro benefit, covered by your existing Pro subscription or purchase. Streaming over a USB cable with Personal Hotspot stays free and does not need Bridge or Pro.

Android: Yes. Bridge is a LensLink Pro benefit, covered by your existing Pro subscription or purchase. Streaming over USB tethering stays free and does not need Bridge or Pro.

Do I pay separately for Bridge?

No. There is no separate Bridge subscription or purchase. Pro covers it.

Which computers does Bridge support?

macOS comes first, and it is still in development. Windows and Linux are planned but not verified yet. Nothing can be downloaded today.

How do I download Bridge?

There is no public download yet. When an installer is released, it will be listed on the LensLink Bridge page on our website, and LensLink will show that page's link and a QR code so you can open it on your computer.

How will I connect my iPhone to Bridge?

This is the planned flow, and it is in development: 1. Install Bridge on your computer and open it. 2. Connect your iPhone to the computer with a USB cable and unlock it. 3. Tap "Trust" on the iPhone if it asks. 4. Open LensLink and tap "Start Streaming". 5. Bridge detects the iPhone and shows the preview.

Can I connect an Android phone to Bridge?

Not yet. Bridge support for Android phones is in development and has not been verified on a real device. Until then, use LensLink's existing connection over Wi-Fi or USB tethering, which works without Bridge.

What is the difference between Personal Hotspot over a cable and Bridge?

Personal Hotspot over a USB cable shares a network connection, and LensLink sends its normal web link to OBS/Streamlabs over it. It is free and needs no computer app. Bridge is a separate computer app that talks to LensLink directly over the cable. It is in development and is a Pro benefit.

Android: USB tethering shares a network connection over the cable, and LensLink sends its normal web link to OBS/Streamlabs over it. It is free and needs no computer app. Bridge is a separate computer app that talks to LensLink directly over the cable. It is in development, is not available for Android phones yet, and is a Pro benefit.

What is pairing and how does it work?

Pairing links your phone to your computer so that Bridge only accepts your phone. Pairing with Bridge needs an active Pro subscription or purchase. Secure pairing is in development and is not available yet. LensLink will never show a pairing as successful unless it really is.

Bridge does not detect my iPhone.

Bridge is in development, so this applies once it is released. 1. Use a USB cable that carries data, not only power. 2. Unlock the iPhone and tap "Trust" if it asks. 3. Open LensLink and tap "Start Streaming". Bridge needs the app to be running. 4. Try another USB port or cable, then reconnect.

Android: Bridge support for Android phones is in development and has not been verified on a real device, so detection is not available yet. Use LensLink's existing connection over Wi-Fi or USB tethering for now.

How does Bridge work with OBS and Streamlabs?

Bridge is built around the same method LensLink uses today: the video appears as a web link that you add in OBS or Streamlabs as a "Browser Source". A fixed OBS address inside the Bridge window is still in development. You can already use LensLink with OBS and Streamlabs without Bridge by following the setup guide.

Can I use my phone as a webcam or microphone in other apps?

Not yet. Bridge does not install a system-wide virtual camera or virtual microphone, so it does not appear in video-call apps. Audio over the direct USB route is still in development. Use OBS or Streamlabs for now.

Can Bridge transfer photos and recordings?

No. Photo and recording transfer is not part of Bridge today and may come later. To record, use OBS or Streamlabs on your computer.

What happens when my Pro subscription ends?

Streaming over a USB cable with Personal Hotspot stays free. Starting a new Bridge connection needs active Pro. By design, permission to use Bridge is short-lived, so it stops soon after Pro ends. If you cancel auto-renewal, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Android: Streaming over USB tethering stays free. Starting a new Bridge connection needs active Pro. By design, permission to use Bridge is short-lived, so it stops soon after Pro ends. If you cancel auto-renewal, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Does my video go through the cloud?

No. By design, video and audio travel directly from your phone to your computer and are not sent to a cloud service. Only the Pro permission check for pairing uses the internet.

How do I fix cable, trust and permission problems?

1. Use a data-capable USB cable and connect it directly to the computer. 2. Unlock the iPhone and tap "Trust" when asked. If you tapped "Don't Trust", unplug the cable and connect it again. 3. In Settings → LensLink, turn on Camera, Microphone and Local Network. 4. Keep LensLink open on the screen while streaming.

Android: Bridge support for Android phones is in development, so there are no Bridge cable steps yet. For LensLink's existing connection, allow Camera and Microphone in the phone's settings and keep LensLink open while streaming.
